.gravity hits & munchies.

>>my weekend recap.

..After hours capsulating myself in a cacoon of heavy insulated blankets and numerous layers of clothing, trying to sweat out my flu. I finally managed to quiet the storm. I was convinced fresh air & some prime ganja is what I needed for saturday night. Headed out to the homies pad to watch UFC 79, wanderlei silva was defeated by chuck liddel, thats the only fight I wanted to see. re-upped a sack of some stanks. after hitting a few I went downstairs and to my surprise, an old friend from high school has showed up to kick it. Man It's good to see and hear from this guy, Some of the best conversation I've had in a hot one, just catching up on shit & to be able to discuss the state of my daily life right now was real necessarry. Made some plans on finally getting down and focusing on some music making projects, The whole encounter was just what I needed after a rough couple of weeks, shit was just refreshing. Decided to crash at the homie Festo's pad & buckled down after a couple of gravity hits & after getting my HALO 3 & SKATE grind on. those 2 games are seriously addicting.
Willy Santos from Birdhouse Skateboards grew up in the same hood as me, MIRA MESA.

>>DJ Critikal from Vancouver, Canada released his newest 2pac mixtape, Forever Legendary on christmas day this past week, I've been a listener eversince his Passion of Tupac mixtape back in 05 & this newest joint does not dissapoint, If you're sick & tired of 2pac remix mixtapes with ashanti, g-unit motherfuckers & other clowns who doesn't have a fuckin right to be mentioned in the same breath, more so be in track with Tupac, you're gonna appreciate the work critikal put into this shit. Giving it pure justice with brilliant production, not the bullshit ringtone beats they've been putting into some of the mainstream 2pac mixtapes lately. My favorite tracks are, Brenda's Got a baby & the remix of Me and My Girlfriend titled GFreshSoul, fuckin dope. check out this mixtape & his other works, support DJ Critikal at http://djcritikal.blogspot.com and download it for free.

also another DJ who does justice with 2pac's work is DJ Fatal from the Cali Untouchable DJ's & BumSquad DJ's, just search his shit out, there is about 5 or more mixtapes floating around the net, Shining Serpent, The Lost Tapes, etc. all of them dope as fuck.

>>Chicken soup & a blunt.

...I officially caught the flu today, I've been feeling it coming on since two days ago & I've been taking it easy to avoid cathing this shit, but I woke up this morning at around 4am to get ready for work & long and behold..wow..I feel like total shit!, It felt like someone was drilling through my head & my whole body felt like a ton of bricks. Called in sick & left a message to my supervisor at work. I really hate calling in sick, especially on Fridays, but I had no fuckin choice, I forced myself to man-up and get to work but my body wasn't having it. I despise feeling like this because I feel like I can't do shit but lay around & drink citrus juice. I tried fixing me a plate of rice and ulam, & I coulnt eat a damn bite so I settled for some top ramen just to get something into my stomach. I really need some extra strenght tylenol, some chicken soup & a blunt of high potent greenery. Im going to sweat this shit out tonight & hopefully It's gone by tommorow. So I finished my spread today for yahoo's NFL pick em, i've been playing since week 1 of this year's football season & I've won money at least 3 times but this week has to be the hardest picks of the whole season beacuse its the last game of the regular season & resting players & injuries plays a part in picking awinning team with confidence, not to mention a couple of teams still trying to get into the play-offs. All I know is my SD Super Chargers are going to smash on Oakland & hopefully carry the momentum into next weeks play-off run, win a play-off game and go from there. Fuck the Patriots, I hope the Giants spoil their record setting season & Michael Strahan breaks Tom Brady's ankles, I know I'm still bitter from last season heart-breaking loss to the pats, but fuck it I'm loyal to my team & that's the whole beauty of the footaball season. 2008 is coming this tuesday, time for a fresh start & best believe I'm getting twisted up this monday before the crack of 08.

>>Here's DJ Critikal with one of his 2pac joints "Where It All Began" enjoy!

..stop the killings!..

>>Here's an article I found today about the unsolved mysterious killings of filipino political activists, at least 832 people dead or gone missing? fuck, that is an alarming number, these motherfuckers can burn in hell, using scare tactics & killings to carry out their agenda of greed, & corruption..you can deny all you want, but the truth will come out sooner or later, after all the bullshit of the philippine army and cocksucker macapagal arroyo gets put on blast, you'll get whats coming to you. to the generals carrying out these commands to their platoons to kill the innocent.i hope after you pull your head out of arroyos bushy twat,
a fuckin superlolo dynamite gets lodged in your ass & blows up during the crack of new years, this shit has got to stop,my beloved homeland is in critical condition raped and slaughtered by some of the biggest fuckin suspects against human rights, its own people & government.

Philippines army accused of killing political activists
By Justin Huggler, Asia Correspondent
Published: 22 February 2007
Many of the hundreds of unsolved killings of political activists in the Philippines were carried out by the military, a United Nations special envoy said yesterday.
The findings of Philip Alston, the UN special rapporteur on extrajudicial killings, are a damning indictment of the government of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and have shaken the Filipino establishment.
Since President Arroyo came to power in 2001, at least 832 people have been killed or gone missing under mysterious circumstances, 356 of them were left-wing political activists according to a local human rights group, Karapatan.
After a 10-day fact-finding mission to the Philippines, Mr Alston said he was convinced a "significant" number of the killings could be linked to the armed forces. Although he was unable to give an exact figure, Mr Alston said: "I am certain the number is high enough to be distressing".

The Philippines has been fighting a communist insurgency by the New People's Army (NPA) that has cost 40,000 lives since 1969. Last year Ms Arroyo declared "all-out war" on the communists. The country is also facing various Muslim insurgent groups.

Mr Alston said he did not believe Ms Arroyo had personally ordered the killings, and instead laid the blame at the feet of the military. "I do not believe that there's a policy at the top designed to direct that these killings take place," he said.
The military has long claimed the unsolved killings were a purge of its own ranks by the NPA. But Mr Alston said that theory was "especially unconvincing".

"The armed forces remains in a state of almost total denial of its need to respond ... to the significant number of killings which have been convincingly attributed to them," he said.

"The impact of even a limited number of killings of the type alleged is corrosive in many ways. It intimidates vast numbers of civil society actors, it sends a message of vulnerability to all but the most well-connected, and it severely undermines the political discourse which is central to a resolution of the problems confronting this country."

Some sections of President Arroyo's government reacted furiously to Mr Alston's findings. "We will not accept that we are in denial because we opened the doors of our country to him," said the Justice Secretary, Raul Gonzalez. "That's the problem with people who come here for one week and become experts afterwards."

But other were more conciliatory. "No right-thinking government or leader will tolerate such things happening and that's the reason why we're looking into it," the Executive Secretary, Eduardo Ermita, told reporters. "It is the policy of the state to look into it and put a stop to it?"

The Philippines government ordered its own inquiry some time ago, but Ms Arroyo has refused to release the findings until now. The commission, headed by a former Supreme Court Justice, Jose Melo, is believed to have found that the killings were carried out by a small group within the military. The government has now announced that the commission's report will be released today.

Some senior officers have suggested that rogue elements within the military were responsible. But Mr Alston said if that was the case, the military "needs to... indicate what investigations and prosecutions have been undertaken in response".

The army hierarchy has reacted angrily even to the suggestion that some rogue elements may have been behind the killings. The Associated Press reported it had seen a copy of a strongly worded letter from the chief of staff, General Hermogenes Esperon, to the Justice Melo commission, in which he dismisses its findings.

..we destined for greatness..

>>The Death & Rebirth Of Datin

..Let me put you up on a hidden gem on some eastcoast gutter music tip, this mixtape is by a brick city Nu Jeru hardhitter named Datin from the infamous FYL Fuck Your Lyfe squad consisting battle rapper Nems & Mc George Burnz. You might have seen Datin rippin up clowns during one of the 106 & Park:Fresstyle Friday Session's a while back, but though this cat can hold his own in a rap battle, its his trackmaking caliber that impressed me. this shit is pure heat from joint to joint, showcasing a grimey ass swagger with raw lyricism & intense attack at the mic. if you like rugged rap that makes you wanna turn your fuckin house upside down, this shits for you. His voice and delivery alone will make you wonder how he hasn't popped a neck vein yet.

>>Here is Datin..beasting the fuck out.

..Starting today i will be posting battles that entertains me.
here's one feauturing Nems from (Fuck ya Lyfe)NewYork vs. Marvwon from (Fat Killaz)Detroit. enjoy fuckers!

..it's fuckin freezing right now here in San Diego, imma grab me a cup of hot cocoa & zone out.
another busy day at work today..these motherfuckers better give me a raise, i've been putting in extra work for other departments this pay season, imma start thinking of my new years resolutions now, i got some real shit in mind.

..hoodie & a stoge..

>>morning routine.
...im usually awake every morning at 4am, after washing my face and brushing my teeth,
i made it a habit to drink a full glass of cold water before i leave the pad for work. it just wakes my ass up and gets me ready for the day ahead, otherwise im gonna feel like a fuckin mess.
it takes about 15 minutes commute to get to my workplace.

clock in my timesheet card, and heres my morning ritual, i walk into the back of the warehouse
into a little hill area with a big tree & a old rusty bench & light up my cig with my hoodie on. i dont know theres just something peaceful about it every fuckin morning, theres nobody there but me..silence..morning fog..puffin on a grit never felt so bomb. then the 1st shift bell rings and i snap back to reality.

im sitting in my cubicle right now zoning the fuck out..feening a for a fat blizzle.

..thugged out since boyscouts..

...I finally had the chance to cop this album by the Cunninlynguists called "Dirty Acres", I've been anticipating this album eversince i heard the track "Wonderful" featuring Devin The Dude a couple of months back. Deacon & Kno with the addition of Natti, should be an ill project. From what ive heard so far it's a lot more serious & somber compared to Will Rap For Food or SouthernUnderground, but it still doesnt dissapoint cuz if you ever picked up a cunninlynguists joint before, you would know the whole joint is definitely going to be consistant with straight to the point lyricism & ridiculous melodies by the producer DJ Kno..i actually came across some DJ Kno instrumentals last week & is planning to record some shit over it just for kicks. so look out for that shit.
I'm gonna smoke a stoge & put this shit on repeat rah quik. until next time.

..poppin the cherry on this mothafucka..

...first things first...MERRY CHRISTMAS!
its christmas day 07..my goal today is to spend as much time with the fam & catch up on some Z's ive been losing lately. a special christmas greeting to the family's & children sleeping in the streets tonight with empty stomachs & minimal hope back in my homeland and all across the globe. i recognize the misery. hold tight my comrades.

so for those who might randomly come across & read my entries & ask why i started this shit.
its fairly simple..i always felt its important to express myself, not just ideas, feelings & opinions, but to have some sort of outlet in whatever pops in my head. im an artist who writes poetry and music so i started this shit to showcase some of my work, but also to past some time during my downtimes from that 9-5 corporate beast..i call work. See I'm a Raw Material Technician that works for a PrePreg Composites company, so when im not doing material inspections, paperworks, & lab testings, or smashin on that forklift. i need something constructive to do besides politic with a suited guy sitting in his desk with a crowbar up his ass. im all about getin paid, give me my paychecks & my benifits & i aint gon say shit about your bullshit agendas & cheap labor system you trying to run on my coworkers who doesnt speak or understand the english language. its not like i can do anything about it anyways, you corporate leeches have the big bucks. i'm just trying to make my resume' look good anyways for future employment oppurtunities.

this wraps up the very first post. lets get this train rollin boss.
